We capture your pet's essence in pictures and words...
Pet Poetraits are not based merely on breed or type, but on each pet’s unique personality and special place within your family. That’s why, in the ordering process, we require a minimum of two digital photos of your pet (the more, the better and we may request more, if necessary) and also that you fill out our online Pet Questionnaire. We ask you to provide the most descriptive and detailed information you are comfortable sharing with us, thus giving us a basis from which to create both art and poetry that is personal and meaningful to you.

When We Must Say Goodbye
Because our pet’s life expectancy is so much shorter than ours, most of us know first hand how if feels to finally part with a beloved pet. That loss is profound and we each grieve and adjust to it in our own way. Though they remain close to us in heart and mind, it can help to have an extra special way to capture those precious memories.

Pricing your Pet Poetrait
We work by inspiration, in order to give you the most personalized results possible, so the amount of artwork and poetry can vary with each Pet Poetrait. We do have minimum requirements, but beyond that, it’s up to you. The work is priced by component, and the price of your custom Pet Poetrait will depend on the number of components in the finished piece.
Below, you will find the minimum prices of Keepsake Books and Wall Art, based on component prices. Listed below that, is the price of each component, should you wish to go beyond the minimum.

We recommend a longer poem and multiple pet images, for a fuller, more complete representation of your pet, but we do offer the following minimum, as a lovely and less expensive alternative. In this piece, we can’t go into great depth or detail, but we can focus on one or two chosen aspects of your pet’s personality and your relationship, to create a Pet Poetrait that is both engaging and meaningful (see “Mr. Darcy’s Secret” in our Sample Gallery).

More poetry and illustrations may be added to any standard/minimum Keepsake Book or Wall Art (size permitting), and we can also include more than one pet per Pet Poetrait. Each pet is subject to the “first pet image” charge.
Your financial flexibility (if possible) in purchasing a Pet Poetrait allows us greater creative/artistic flexibility and freedom. You’d be surprised at the difference a few additional illustrated stanzas of poetry–even just one or two–can make to the depth and meaningfulness of your Pet Poetrait.

PLEASE NOTE:
We have done our best to be very thorough in our Pet & Preferences Questionnaire and we rely on you to be equally thorough in filling it out. We do want to know whatever might be important to you in the creation of your Pet Poetrait, so if there is anything we haven’t asked about that you would like to include, there is a field for that. Should you require more space than the field allows, you are welcome to send us information in an email to orders@petpoetraits.com, and be sure to include your full name, email address, and your pet’s species and name–all exactly as you provided on your questionnaire–so that we can easily connect it to your order.
Before your Keepsake Book or Wall Art on Canvas is submitted for printing, we will email you a PDF proof, giving you an opportunity to request minor, last minute adjustments to text and pictures (please understand that certain changes will be possible to make, while others may not).
Unfortunately, we are unable to give refunds on our labor intensive custom work. However, should you find a defect of any kind in your Wall Art PDF file, Wall Art on Canvas, or Keepsake Book, please email us at customercare@petpoetraits.com. We will do all we can to resolve the problem.
Our ordering process is in three easy steps*:
1. Email a minimum of 2 digital photos of your pet to photos@petpoetraits.com. The more photos you provide, the better, especially if you are ordering the Keepsake Book.
2. Fill out and submit our Pet & Preferences Questionnaire.
3. Make your selection and submit your order.
Since we must first evaluate your information in order to determine the basic artistic structure of your Pet Poetrait (unless you choose the minimum/standard options), we do not take payment in the ordering process. After we receive your completed questionnaire and order form, we will begin the evaluation, which can take up to 5 business days. Upon completion of the evaluation, we will email you an itemized Advance Payment Invoice. You must reply on that email, with your agreement to proceed. You will find our paypal.me link on the invoice, which you can use to make your payment. Some changes to our plan for your Pet Poetrait may be possible prior to beginning the work, so please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have some thoughts and ideas before making your payment.
Once we receive your payment, we will begin work on your Pet Poetrait. Turnaround time can vary. It will take up to 3 weeks to receive your ready-to-print Wall Art on PDF by email, up to 6 weeks for delivery of your ready-to-hang Wall Art on Canvas, and 6 to 8 weeks for delivery of your printed Keepsake Book. These turnaround times do not apply to special requests for the Keepsake Book, which would most likely extend the timeline of the creative process. We can address that with you directly and more specifically upon receiving your special request.
IMPORTANT: Tax and Shipping amounts for Keepsake Books and Wall Art on Canvas are based on your shipping address and can only be determined in the process of placing your order with the printer. Therefore, that amount will not be included in your first invoice. You will receive an additional payment request for tax and shipping charges at the time of submission to the printer.
